Peyton Hines, M.D. is a native of Yazoo City, MS. He graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and a minor in chemistry. He later graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine with a Doctorate of Medicine in 2013. While there, he was selected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Hines completed his Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery residency in 2018 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. During residency, he was selected as a Mayo Clinic Quality Fellow and was designated as an Instructor in Otolaryngology for the Mayo School of Medicine. Dr. Hines’ research has been published in several medical journals including the American Journal of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery, Journal of Neurologic Surgery Reports, and Laryngoscope. He has given numerous national and international presentations for groups including the Triological Society, North American Skull Base Society, Australia/New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society, and International Surgical Sleep Society.
Dr. Hines completed his board certification with the American Board of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery and is licensed in Otolaryngology in the states of Mississippi and Arizona. After residency, he stayed at the Mayo Clinic for an additional year as an Associate Consultant where he gained additional experience in treatment of voice disorders, sleep surgery, thyroid/parathyroid surgery, and in-office procedures.
His professional memberships include the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Hines lives in Madison with his wife and 3 children. He has a special interest in public service which has included international medical mission trips to Kenya and Vietnam. His other personal interests include his family, scuba diving, boating, biking, fishing, hunting, and cooking.
